Stuff the Capitalist (aka KD) Likes: Dennis Leary's Cold and Flu Season Primer

Who am I?  Who cares?  Good questions.  It's my site, so I'm going dig in once in a awhile by telling you more about who I am - via a "Stuff I Like" series.  Nothing too serious, just exploring the micro-niche that resides at the base of all of our lives.  Potshots encouraged in the comments.

It's been a rough week. I got sick on the road, then got home, took some industrial strength cold and flu medicine and lost hours of my life mid-week as it put me in a deep daytime coma.

That reminded me of this bit I love from "No Cure For Cancer" from Dennis Leary:

"We have reached the point where the over the counter drugs are actually stronger than anything you can buy on the street. It says on the back of the NyQuil box, "May cause drowsiness." It should say, "Don't make any f****ing plans!

Full bit from Leary below (email subscribers click through for video), but beware, it's NSFW.  But if you've ever been knocked out by cold and flu medicine, you'll understand Leary's logic:

"Are you drunk?" "No! I have a cold. Same cold I've had for two years. I just can't seem to shake it. I'm high as a kite and my teeth are green. Merry f****ing Christmas!"

Stay healthy out there.
