Stuff the Capitalist (aka KD) Likes: Ryen Russillo

Who am I?  Who cares?  Good questions.  It's my site, so I'm going dig in once in a awhile by telling you more about who I am - via a "Stuff I Like" series.  Nothing too serious, just exploring the micro-niche that resides at the base of all of our lives.  Potshots encouraged in the comments.

We live in a "hot take" society.  Fox News. MSNBC. ESPN.  It's not enough to report these days, you have to have a "hot take" - a polarizing, all or nothing opinion about someone that will cut through the noise and cause people to pay attention.

Balanced view? Get out - you don't get ratings.  Some of you would say that I'm as guilty of a hot take as anyone with this blog.  You're right - I'm a product of my environment...

That's why I'm a fan of Ryen Russillo, a radio show host on ESPN.  In a world (said in my best movie trailer voice) where you have to be like Skip Bayless or Stephen A. Smith to be noticed, Russillo is a voice of reason and a bit of an everyman. Check out the two clips below.  One of the most normal guys you'll ever hear, a great writer and a guy that feels like someone you'd love to be friends with (click through below to see videos and some great writing as well).
