I interviewed at Uber 2 years ago but it wasn't a fit. I think they've had at least 3 CHRO leaders within a pretty short timeframe, a good friend of mine told me the CHRO before Renee ran screaming from the building.

My experience is that it's very, very hard for HR to change a has to be a sincere effort on the part of company leadership. HR can create experiences to reinforce the culture, but if the leaders are bad, good luck. I wouldn't bet on Uber.
