Not really. But nothing stirs up emotions in life like some good background music. Let's count the ways music helps us get through the tough times:
- You have one mile to go on a long run, and a good cut on your iPod helps you get through it...
- Good Memories of a loved one are brought back from a song that reminds you of them...
- You're being told that you need to go out on strike in one of the toughest economic times by your local Union rep. He senses that you just aren't into it, and since he's tuned into your needs, he sends you a groovy hip-hip tune that's a Jay-Z rip off telling you to stand tall and strike like a man.
What's that? You've never experienced that last one? Lots of AT&T employees represented by the CWA got a special treat last week in prep for a potential called strike - a groovy hip hop tune by a wannabe Jay-Z telling them to stand strong and do the right thing - go on strike.
Not sure whether to be alarmed or laugh. On one hand, seeing the union make a decent run at multimedia is a little startling, but on the other hand it's a pretty cliche' cut. Personally, I think 99 Problems would have been a better choice. Rick Rubin, in the video, would be a nice touch as well...
Still, it's interesting. Click here to listen to the cut.... It's real, served up by CWA servers....
