Very interesting.

I'm a huge fan of having peers interview candidates. First of all, they have to work with the person. Second, candidates tend to be more open with someone who won't be their boss. Third, if you have people reporting to you that need skills that you don't have yourself, it's best that they be interviewed by someone who does have that skill set.
